Growing Our Care: Introducing Angelica Codner and Prunella Harris to Empowerment Pathways

At Empowerment Pathways, our mission has always been about one thing: meeting our community exactly where they are. Whether it’s through our youth mentorship programs or our advocacy for families, we believe that everyone deserves a clear path to healing and empowerment.

Today, we are thrilled to share a major milestone in that journey. We are officially expanding our outpatient therapy section, and with that growth comes the addition of two incredible clinicians who bring a wealth of heart, soul, and expertise to our team.

Please join us in giving a very warm welcome to Angelica "Angie" Codner and Prunella Harris!

A New Era of Outpatient Support

Why are we growing? The answer is simple: the need for accessible, compassionate mental health care is greater than ever. We’ve seen firsthand how the right support at the right time can change the trajectory of a life: especially for children navigating a complex world and adults searching for balance in high-pressure times.

By expanding our outpatient therapy services, we aren't just adding names to a roster; we are increasing our capacity to provide specialized, trauma-informed care that reaches deep into the heart of our community. This growth allows us to offer more telehealth appointments and in-person sessions, ensuring that help is never out of reach.

Meet Angelica "Angie" Codner: A Champion for Our Youth

When it comes to working with kids and teens, energy and empathy are everything. That’s exactly what Angelica Codner brings to Empowerment Pathways. Known affectionately as Angie, she has a natural gift for connecting with the younger generation in a way that feels authentic and safe.

Angie specializes in supporting children and adolescents who are navigating the unique challenges of ADHD and anxiety. In a world that often asks kids to "fit in," Angie’s approach is refreshingly different. She uses a strengths-based approach, which means she doesn't just look at what a child is struggling with: she looks at what makes them extraordinary.

Whether she's helping a teen manage the overwhelming "noise" of anxiety or working with a child to harness the creativity and energy of ADHD, Angie is all about building confidence. Her goal is to help our youth see themselves not as a collection of symptoms, but as capable, resilient individuals with a bright future.

Meet Prunella Harris: 23+ Years of Mind-Body-Spirit Healing

While Angie focuses on the vibrant world of youth, Prunella Harris brings a deep, steadying presence to our clinical team. With over 23 years of experience in the field, Prunella is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) whose career has spanned everything from substance abuse treatment to private practice.

What makes Prunella truly unique is her mind-body-spirit approach. She understands that healing doesn't happen in a vacuum. To truly move through trauma, depression, or life transitions, we have to look at the whole person.

Prunella uses an eclectic blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), but she weaves in elements of spirituality and mindfulness to create a holistic experience. She is a dedicated advocate for people navigating major life shifts: whether that’s a change in health, a shift in self-concept, or the heavy weight of grief.

In Prunella’s care, you aren't just "working on your problems." You are rediscovering your internal strength and finding a grounded, hopeful way of living. Her decades of experience mean she has seen it all, and her calm, trauma-informed perspective is a lighthouse for those feeling lost at sea.

Why This Matters for Our Community

The expansion of our team is about more than just "more appointments." It’s about breadth and expertise.

When we can offer specialized care for a 10-year-old with ADHD alongside holistic, spiritual support for an adult in transition, we are building a true "safety net" for the community. Here is how this growth directly impacts you:

  1. Reduced Wait Times: More clinicians mean we can get you into a session faster.

  2. Specialized Matching: We can match you with a therapist who truly understands your specific needs: be it youth-focused or holistic.

  3. Continuity of Care: As families grow and change, they can find different types of support all under one roof at Empowerment Pathways.

  4. A Trusted Hub: For our donors and partners, this growth is proof that your contributions are being turned into tangible, life-changing services right here in our community.

To Our Donors: Your Impact in Action

To those who support Empowerment Pathways financially, we want you to know that this growth belongs to you, too. Every donation helps us recruit top-tier talent like Angie and Prunella. It helps us maintain the spaces where healing happens and provides the technology for our telehealth services.

By helping us grow our outpatient section, you are investing in the long-term mental health of our neighbors. You are helping reduce the strain on local emergency rooms by providing preventative, community-based care. You are helping a child stay in school and helping a mother find her footing again.

Thank you for believing in the power of empowerment.

Ready to Start Your Pathway?

Whether you’re a parent looking for support for your child or an individual seeking a deeper connection to yourself, we are here. Our new clinicians are currently accepting clients, and we would love to help you find the right fit.

Healing is a journey, and you don’t have to walk it alone. We are so proud to have Angie and Prunella walking alongside us, and we can't wait for you to meet them.

Welcome to the team, ladies! Let’s get to work.
